The player must scavenge for ammunition and resources while fighting off hordes of infected enemies including new mutations that were not present in past Resident Evil games. The gameplay mechanics consist of exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat. They are soon trapped on a virus-infested cruise ship named the Queen Zenobia where they must survive and uncover the secrets of the bioterrorist organization known as Veltro. The game's storyline follows series regulars Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as they investigate a bioterrorism threat in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. The game was first released in 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS handheld console and then later ported to other platforms such as PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.
